Providing training courses to thousands of mental health clinicians statewide is no easy feat, and we can't do it without your help in letting us know how to serve your needs. In 2019, we made the exciting transition from paper to online evaluations to reduce our environmental impact and maximise your time. This means that you can now make constructive suggestions on the train, at work, or at home, whenever you're on an electronic device with a web browser.

As our client, we really value your opinion. In 2018, around 90% of you voiced your opinions on our programs, which helped us improve and refine our courses. This year, we seek your support to sustain this online transition and reduce paper wastage. It just takes about 7 minutes to let us know how you feel about our courses.

We're all here to help each other at Queensland Health. Let us train you better by telling us how.

What do we do with the data?

At the Learning Centre, we have a whole research team dedicated to receiving, storing, and understanding your data. All of your confidential responses are kept safe. To match your responses, we use the unique ID you generate, as well as a random numerical user ID generated by the system. Your feedback stays within the Learning Centre, and will not be sent back to your employer. So please, be honest and constructive.

After we have processed your data, it goes to the Clinical Educators, to ensure they understand their strengths and work on areas for improvement. We publish your data as general descriptive and inferential statistics in the annual report, as well as various other reports we produce throughout the year to determine the effectiveness of our programs. Aggregated data is also sent annually to each HHS, so that the Executive Directors can see how much training we've delivered and how the training is performing.

How do the evaluations work?

Instead of completing the evaluations in person at workshops, participants now receive emails containing links to the survey. For more detail on the evaluation processes for face-to-face and blended courses, please refer to the graphics below:

The pre and post evaluations at all time points are equally important. Please complete all the surveys so we can fully utilise your feedback. Some of the questions may be asked multiple times. This is to monitor your progress, and to ascertain how much you improve after course completion. These questions also provide an excellent opportunity to revise and reflect on your strengths and weaknesses before and after your training, while consolidating knowledge on important concepts and models.

Please note that there are no changes to the eLearning evaluation process, which is done entirely through our website.
